What is 'Flawsome'?

WHAT IS FLAWSOME
During March we want to celebrate being 'Flawsome'. Being Flawsome is something that we celebrate at Vie Active as it makes us the wonderful, confident and happy people we are today. But before we begin exploring what Flawsome is to us - here's a note from our Co Founder Noa Ries on what being Flawsome means:
Being a mother and an entrepreneur at the same time made me quickly realize that there’s no such thing as Work/Life/Balance. It’s an unrealistic goal and can quickly make you feel like a failure if you strive too hard for it. I realized that sometimes I do a better job at work than I do in my personal life and sometimes I do a better job in my personal life than at work.
It was quite liberating to realize that I don’t need to strive to be perfect. That actually doing ‘my best’, is really pretty damn good. I realized that the snakes and ladders journey of my life, the wins, the losses have all led me to where I am today and that where I am is where I am supposed to be.
I’m certainly not perfect but I’ve become confident in just being exactly who I am.
I’m strong and fit but I’m also totally uncoordinated. I’m empathetic but I don’t tolerate mediocrity or jerks. I’m often late but I’m also impatient.
I love being fit and healthy (it makes me feel happy, confident and focused) but I also love red wine, coffee, french fries, chocolate chip cookies and coffee (did I say that already?!). I adore my children, they make my heart explode but I will be the first to admit that motherhood is hard. It requires oodles of patience and perspective and sometimes at the end of the day I just have none left.
It’s so immensely liberating to be confident in who you are, imperfections and all and realize that you are perfectly imperfect. That is what Flawsome is to me.
