Tell us a bit about yourself and your active life?
I have been active my whole life. My parents did a great job signing up my sister and I into different activities to try at an early age. The activity that stuck the most for me was dancing. I have been a dancer for as long as I can remember and still keep it in my life to this day. Due to a severe injury I had to trade out some of my dancing for a different form of activity. This is when I stumbled upon Pilates on a Reformer and fell in love instantly. What's your active life mantra?
If it isn’t challenging and it isn’t fun then it isn’t serving you a greater purpose. What do you find most challenging about running a business?
Anything can happen at any given moment and it all weighs on me. I find this equally challenging in a good way but the chances of all things coming up being convenient are very slim. Why Megaformer? What do you love about this form of Pilates?
The Megaformer takes traditional Pilates and mat Pilates to a high level that cannot be achieved on any other machine. Each version of the reformer keeps getting better and better, with extra ways to add in bonus challenges, as well as modifications that allow certain movements to be performed more effectively. What three things are on your bucket list right now?
- Go on an African Safari
- Meditate with Monks
- Hike the Incas
Jessica Alba is a favorite of mine. She radiates beauty and love for her passion of living a healthy life. She strongly feels it is important and her responsibility to influence her daughters to give them the best possible foundation of healthy living. If we can instill this in children form the very beginning it is a much easier battle to tackle. What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is something that could take me from living my life the way I want it to. Filled with being active, eating healthy, laughing, giving back, traveling, being with my family, etc.Can you share your favourite Pilates exercise for a great butt?
We have an exercise that is called Scrambled Eggs. It is an exercise that leaves me sore, each and every time I do it. It is greatly effective in strengthening the glutes as well as giving them their nice shape from the side. Also stabilizing yourself and working your obliques is an additional benefit to the exercise as well.Do you do anything other than Pilates to stay fit?
I am a big believer in that you need to change things up and throw new tricks in the back to keep your body on point. Although I do keep Pilates a foundation and do it at least three times a week, I love trying new fitness crazes as well. I keep dancing and running in my life pretty frequent as well. What's on your Vie Active wishlist?
Ooo, leopard shorts for the summer time!
