Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you get started in health and fitness?
Staying fit and healthy is a big part of my job, but I also love leading an active lifestyle so that I feel better just for me. I want to stay strong and healthy, even when I'm 80 years old. My family was active, particular in team sports as I was growing up and they instilled that in me. I really amped up my workouts this year and I'm really happy with the new results.
What’s your active life mantra?
Just to sweat every day. Even if it's only a little bit, if you keep it consistent, it makes such a difference to your overall health!
Do you have any healthy tricks for getting camera ready before a photoshoot?
I always drink a lot of water but a workout and a healthy veggie dinner the night before, and a coat of fake tan can do wonders to make you glow and boost your confidence!
What does a usual workout look like for you?
I try to change it up a lot because I get bored easily and I want to constantly challenge different muscle groups. I love team sports but it can be hard with my schedule, so I try to make it to group classes or train with my friends to push and motivate me into working harder.
I love Fly Barre, Pilates, Kickbox Cardio and Boot Camp Conditioning style workouts. With my friends I do circuits and the occasional run. Beach days spent in the salt water is also great relaxing exercise and I try to do a little yoga and meditation a few times a week for stretching and to clear my head.
What’s your favourite post workout snack?
Sliced green apple and freshly crushed natural Peanut Butter!
What’s in your gym bag?
Face wash, deodorant, clean towels, hand sanitizer, water, paw paw lip balm, headphones and a muesli bar.
What’s on your Vie Active wish list?
The matching yoga mat to my leopard print tights!
Where are your favourite healthy hangouts both in Australia and the US?
Taste, Apple A Day, Angelina's and Maoz Vegetarian in Miami, Lemonade and M Cafe in Los Angeles and Trio Cafe in Bondi, Sydney! There are so many amazing healthy options in Sydney.
What do you do to keep your skin healthy and glowing?
I drink about 4L of water a day, take Biotin supplements and have a diet rich in fresh fruits and veggies. Working out frequently and the occasional dip in the ocean helps me glow too.
What songs are on your workout playlist at the moment?
There's about 300 songs in my workout playlist so that I don't get bored but there's a lot of hip hop and R&B. The rhythm and high energy beats help up the tempo of my workout and remind me to focus on my breathing.
P.s. we think her pre shoot routine is working for her - she looks absolutely radiant in our feather print dropping this week!
